Welcome to Orlando, Florida, the county seat of Orange County and the tourist hub of south Florida. The Orlando-Kissimmee metropolitan area is home to nearly two million residents, and the region sees approximately 52 million tourists each year. As a destination for so many travelers, Orlando shines in the realm of hospitality, which of course includes food.

For students considering culinary schools throughout the country, Orlando culinary schools should show promise, not only in the sheer number and diversity of restaurants to experience, but also in the abundance of fun things to do in this area.

Culinary Schools in Orlando, FL
Students enrolled in the culinary schools of Orlando have a chance to learn lessons not only within the curricula of the culinary programs, but also in the multicultural dining rooms of this region.

Similar to other major cities in south Florida, Orlando is home to a growing variety of ethnicities, and it has one of the largest Puerto Rican populations in the country. A large percentage of Cubans and Vietnamese call Orlando home, too. With such rich ethnic diversity, participants of area culinary programs have a chance to dine on authentic Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Vietnamese dishes, all within the same region.

The huge numbers of tourists who flock to Orlando each year also have something to offer culinary students: a chance to experience the high-end dining rooms of the region's countless resort restaurants, golf club eateries, and other upscale culinary tourist attractions.

Orlando: Fun in the Sun
When they're not soaking up lessons in Orlando's culinary schools, participants of culinary programs are often found soaking up the abundance of sun and fun the area has to offer. From the world-famous Walt Disney World Resort to the Hard Rock Café and the 3,000-person audience capacity at Hard Rock Live, there is plenty of entertainment in Orlando.
