If you're considering enrolling in an Ohio culinary school or culinary program, you're probably just as interested in activities outside of school as you are in the culinary schools classroom. There's plenty to do in Ohio, and fortunately, several events center on food, allowing you to extend your education beyond the classroom.

Attending Culinary Schools in Ohio
Far more than just another Midwestern state, Ohio serves as a link between the Northeast and the Midwest, boasting 312 miles of coastline on the southern shore of Lake Erie. With a population of over 11 million people, Ohio's population enjoys a wide array of culinary programs. Ohio boasts three metropolitan areas with populations of over a million people--Columbus at around 1.7 million, Cincinnati at around 2.1 million, and Cleveland at around 2.2 million. There are five additional metropolitan areas in Ohio with populations of more than 500,000 residents: Akron, Canton, Dayton, Toledo, and Youngstown.

Students who attend Ohio culinary schools in or near these areas should find plenty of options when it comes to recreation--and getting a great education from local culinary programs.
