The city of Dallas recently claimed the slogan "Live Large. Think Big." This cultural hub of the Lone Star state, also known as "Big D," is full of opportunities for living large and thinking big, from a thriving arts and culture scene and a diverse population to a wide variety of dining options, parks, and festivals.

For prospective students Dallas of culinary programs, it is important to see what Dallas has to offer its residents, as well as its chefs in training.

Dallas Culinary Scene Sizzles
According to the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, this city is home to the largest urban arts district in the country. That is not bad for the ninth largest city in the United States. The city of Dallas itself is home to more than 1.2 million people, while the Dallas Metro area comprises a population of more than 3.8 million.

Besides bringing with it a buzzing arts and culture scene, Dallas' large, diverse population also translates to one of the most flavorful dining scenes in the country. From French to Southwestern, and everything in between, Dallas is home to some of the most critically acclaimed chefs in the country, and the city boasts a strong culinary reputation.

As for weather, Dallas' average daily temperature is around 65 degrees, while the daily mean temperature is a warm 85 degrees.
